Do you know what is bully?
bully is a person who uses their strength or power to frighten or hurt a weaker person
bully 就是 “用他们的力量吓唬或伤害弱者的人”
They will make sb do sth
他们还会强迫别人做不愿意做的事情
bully 就是 “恶霸，是那些仗势欺人，横行霸道的人”
Look at the picture,
What are the children doing?
They are drawing.
But look, the girl is drawing on Chip's picture.
And she make Chip's picture a mess.
What was Chip feeling?
He is cross.
What will he do?

A new girl came to the school.
She was in Biff and Chip's class.
The new girl was called Rosie,
and she didn’t look very friendly.
She pulled a face at Anneena.
friendly means showing kindness; making you feel good
that means 友善的、友好的
pull a face 就是 “做鬼脸” 的意思
学校里，新来了一个女孩。
她在 Biff 和 Chip 的班上。
那个新来的女孩叫 Rosie，
她看上去不太像友好。
她对 Anneena 做了个鬼脸。
Rosie was new here.
She even didn't know Anneena.
Why did she pull a face at Anneena?
Maybe She pulled a face at Anneena for no good reason.

Rosie sat next to Chip.
Chip didn't like her.
She took his pens and scribbled on his picture.
So Chip scribbled on her picture.

Rosie 坐在 Chip 旁边。
Chip 不喜欢她。
Rosie 拿起 Chip 的笔，

And this time she scribbled on his picture.
Chip liked drawing.

Now his picture was a mess.

Rosie got Chip into trouble.
She went to Mrs May.
"He scribbled on my picture,' she said.
Mrs May was cross with Chip.
She told him off.
get sb. into trouble 给某人带来麻烦
tell off 斥责、训斥
Rosie 给 Chip 惹了麻烦。
她去找梅太太。

梅太太对Chip很生气。

Nobody liked the new girl.
She was a bully.
She called everyone nasty names.
nasty 令人不悦的、不友好的
没人喜欢那个新来的女孩。

What did she call her classmate?
She called Chip a motor mouth,
and she called Wilf a parrot face.
motor 马达、(汽车等的) 发动机
她叫 Chip 马达嘴，
她叫 Wilf 鹦鹉脸。
What's the meaning of a motor mouth?
motor mouth means someone tall too much and too fast.
motor mouth 就是说一个人说话又多又快。
Why did rosie call Chip and Wilf a nasty name?
bullies call the others nasty name for no good reason.
They just want to upset people.
Rosie was nasty to Biff.
What did Rosie do to Biff？
She took her crisps and called her a toffee nose.
Rosie 对 Biff 很不友好。
Rosie 拿走了 Biff 的薯片，还叫她太妃鼻子。
Biff was frightened of Rosie.
Everyone was frightened of her.
Biff 害怕 Rosie。
大家都怕她。
The children didn't like Rosie.
They were afraid to do anything.

Rosie was nasty to Anneena.
She called her a goody-goody and pulled her hair.
Rosie 对 Anneena 很不友好。
她叫她伪善的人，并拉着她的头发。
goody-goody 是指 “伪善的，假正经的、善于讨好卖乖的那种人”
"Ow! Stop it!" said Anneena. "Leave me alone."
Anneena 说：啊，住手！让我走。
Leave me alone 是 “别打扰我、让我走、别管我” 这样的意思
Wilma was bigger than Rosie, so she ran to help Anneena.
Wilma 比 Rosie 大，所以她跑去帮助 Anneena。
看到 than 就知道有2个东西要比较了，
前面一般就会出现形容词的比较级，
最常见的是形容词在末尾加上 -er
比如：tall taller，small smaller
The boy is taller than Chip.
如果碰到 cvc（辅音+元音+辅音） 的形容词
则要双写结尾的辅音字母，然后在末尾加上 -er
比如：big bigger，fat fatter
Wilma is bigger than Rosie.
ok, 我们回到绘本：
But Rosie was a bully.
She called Wilma a dinosaur brain and she pushed her over.
但 Rosie 是个小恶霸。
她叫 Wilma 恐龙的大脑，并把她推到了一边。
Poor Wilma.
Rosie did too much.
Why did not some students do something to stop her.

Rosie pulled Chip's ear and she wouldn't let go.
"Tell me a secret, " she said. "Go on!"
她说：告诉我一个秘密，赶紧说！
Rosie 拉起 Chip 的耳朵，并且不放手。
这里的 Go on！意思是：
赶紧，来吧（用于劝说或鼓励别人）
Chip didn't want to tell her a secret.
"Go on, Motor Mouth," said Rosie.
Chip 不想告诉她一个秘密。
Rosie 说：说吧，机动嘴。
Rosie pulled Chip's ear even harder.
even 就是 “更怎么样...”
hard 努力/用力，harder 是 hard 的比较级
Rosie 更用力地拉起 Chip 的耳朵。
"Tell me a secret," she said. "Go on!"
Chip didn't want to, but he told Rosie about the magic key.
她说：告诉我一个秘密，赶紧说！
Chip 也不想，但他还是告诉 Rosie 关于魔法钥匙的秘密。
What did the friends do?
They just stood and did nothing.
Why didn't they do anything?
What should they do?
看到了朋友被欺负，
朋友们只是站在那里看着，什么也没有做。

Rosie wanted to see the magic key,
So she made Chip take her home.
Rosie 想看看魔法钥匙.

"Let me see this key," she said. "I want a magic adventure."

Oh Chip, Just say no.
That's your house.

The children went to Biff's room.
Rosie looked at the magic key,
but it wouldn't glow.

"It's just an old key,"she said. "It isn't magic at all."
