Wilf and Wilma had come to play at Biff and Chip's house.
It was Wilf's birthday.
"Happy birthday, Wilf," said Biff and Chip.
They gave him a birthday card.
Wilf 和 Wilma 来到 Biff 和 Chip 家玩。
今天是 Wilf 的生日。
Biff 和 Chip 说：生日快乐，Wilf。
他们给了他一张大卡片。
Look, What was Wilf holding?
A big box.
What's in the box?

Wilf had a large box.
Wilf 有一个大盒子。

Is it a ship?
"This is my birthday present," he said.

Everyone looked inside the box.
"What is it?" asked Chip.

"It looks like a submarine," said Biff.

What can a submarine do?
"It's a kind of submarine," said Wilf.
"It explores the sea bed."
Wilf 说：这是一种潜水艇，

"That's right," said Wilma.
"It goes to the bottom of the sea."
Wilma 说：是的，它可以到达海底。
A submarine can explore the sea bed.
It goes to the bottom of the sea.
That is how submarines work.
"What a brilliant present!" said Biff.
Biff 说：多么漂亮的礼物啊！

What did a submarine look like?
The submarine looked like a car.
潜艇看上去像一辆汽车。
Because,
It had big windows and it had headlights.
因为呢，它有大窗户，有前照灯。
Wilf put the headlights on.
"It's brilliant." said Chip.
Wilf 把前灯打开。
Chip 说：这太棒了。
Biff looked at the magic key.
Suddenly it began to glow.
It was time for a new adventure.
Biff 看了看那把神奇的钥匙。
突然，它开始发光了。
该是新冒险的时候了。
"I wonder where the key will take us," said Wilf.
Wilf 说：我想知道钥匙会带我们去哪里。
Can you guess Where the key will take them？
Maybe the magic will take them under the sea, won't it?

Where did the magic take them?
The magic took the children to the sea，
where there were lots of boats.
魔法把孩子们带到了大海边，
那里有很多船。
lots of / a lot of，就是 many 很多的意思。
They were at the harbour.
harbour 港口，他们在港口呢。
Chip pointed to a yellow submarine.
point to 指向
"Look at that one," he said.
"It looks just like Wilf's submarine!"
like 已经出现很多很多遍咯，
是什么意思呢？
对了，“像”。
Chip 指向一艘黄色潜艇。
他说：看看那个，
它看上去就像 Wilf 的潜水艇一样！
The children went to look at the submarine.
"I wish we could look inside," said Chip.
孩子们走去看看潜艇。
Chip 说：我希望我们能看看里面。
Just then a hatch began to open and a man looked out.
hatch (飞机/潜艇或者宇宙飞船的) 舱门
就在这时 Just then，一个舱门开始打开，一个男人向外望去。
Who is he?
Would he let the children look inside?

The man peered at them.
peer means to look closely or carefully at sth,
是 “仔细看” 的意思。
那个人盯着他们看。
"Hello!" he said.
"I'm Professor Tangle."
"How do you do, sir," said Wilf.
"My new crew?" said Professor Tangle.
"You look a bit young."
他说：你好！我是 Tangle 教授。
Wilf 说：你好。
Tangle 教授说：我的新船员？
你们看起来有点年轻。
Professor Tangle didn't hear very well.
Wiff said "How do you do".
What did Professor Tangle hear？
new crew
也许 是因为 do 和 crew 很押韵，都是 /u:/ 的原因吧。
"We're not your new crew," shouted Wilf.
"How do you do!"
Wilf 大叫：我们不是你的新船员，你好！
Professor Tangle didn't hear properly.
properly means correctly 正确的
Tangle 教授还是没听清楚。
He got things muddled up.
他把事情搞混了。
muddled up 就是 “搞混了/糊里糊涂的” 这样的意思
比如说：
They look so alike, I always get them muddled up.
他们看上去那么像，我总是把他们给搞混了。
She gave me so many instructions that I got muddled up.
她给了我那么多指示，把我弄得糊里糊涂。
so, What did the professor hear?
"You know what to do?" he said.
他说：你们知道该怎么做吗？
Haha... Oh my!

"That's good! Get on board," went on the professor.
"And tell me your names."
Get on board 上船
went on / go on 是 “继续” 的意思。
went on the professor
教授继续说道。
Tangle 教授接着说：好极了！上船。
告诉我你们的名字。
"I'm Biff," said Biff, "and this is Wilma.
This is Wilf, and this is Chip."
Biff 说：我是Biff，这是 Wilma，这是 Wilf，这是Chip.
"No, It's not a ship," said the Professor.
"It's a diving machine."
"We know that," said Wilf.
"We've never been in one," said Wilma, "and we're not your crew!"
教授说：不，这不是一艘船。
这是个潜水艇。
Wilf 说：我们知道。
Wilma 说：我们从来没有进去过，
而且我们也不是你的新船员！
The professor got it wrong again.
Wilf and Wilma tried to correct it.
But not bad.
Maybe the children can get into the submarine.
Would they get into the diving machine?
What would they see under the water?
What will happen next?
